Jennifer, a Montrealer by birth, and a resident of Vermont since 1998, has been working with glass since 1990. The richness of the colours originally attracted her to stained glass, but the versatility of glass has allowed her to expand her techniques to include sandblasting, lamination, mosaics, and fusion as well. Jennifer has studied glass techniques at the Studio du Verre, and the Centre des arts visuels in Montreal, and at The Studio, Corning Museum of Glass, in Corning, NY.
Themes and artifacts from nature are her main source of inspiration and are frequently found in her work.
"I am a hobby artisan. I do what I do for the love of it – I thoroughly enjoy the process. Much of my work has been given as gifts to family members and friends as well as to charitable organizations. Some of it is sold locally through open studio tours and the occasional exhibit. I work very slowly and make only what I feel competent to do well. If you like an item you see on my web site and would like to purchase it, please feel free to contact me."
